This course provides a clear and concise overview of Medicare, the federal health insurance program for individuals 65 and older, and certain younger individuals with disabilities. Participants will learn the basics of Medicare Part A (Hospital Insurance), Part B (Medical Insurance), Part C (Medicare Advantage Plans), and Part D (Prescription Drug Coverage). The course breaks down what each part covers, how enrollment works, associated costs, and how to choose the right combination of coverage. Whether you’re approaching eligibility, helping a loved one, or simply want to better understand your healthcare options, this course will equip you with the foundational knowledge needed to make informed decisions. Stephanie Villanueva grew up in the western suburbs and spent most of her career in dentistry before deciding she wanted to serve people in a different way. Today, she helps clients (Individuals, Families, Small Businesses) of all ages navigate their health insurance and Medicare options with clarity and confidence. Outside of work, Stephanie is actively involved with local Chambers of Commerce and volunteers at community events. She enjoys spending time with friends and family and values being connected to the community.
Lisa Schumacher works with LifeSmart Senior Services and has been helping seniors navigate the Medicare process for over 7 years. She enjoys putting the confusing Medicare puzzle pieces together for you. All the letters the A's, B's C's and D's of Medicare.
