VIRTUAL - FAMOUS SELF PORTRAITS

Join us for a Zoom webinar all about selfies through the ages, presented by Mallory Mortillaro.

Self portraits can be traced back to ancient times, though they became most prevalent in the early Renaissance period. This lecture explores several famous artists' self portraits as we learn, and consider: What do artists' self portraits say about the time they lived in, the style they painted in, and most importantly, how they viewed themselves?

Mallory Mortillaro is an art historian and educator. She has ten years of teaching experience and has worked on various art research projects for museums and organizations in the New York metropolitan area. She studied at Drew University. Mallory resides in New Jersey with husband and daughter. Find her at mallorymortillaro@gmail.com .
