Event Details

Often associated with 19th century photography, Abe Lincoln inspired artists across a range of media. Images of the sixteenth President evolved over the course of his political career. In addition, Lincoln remained a popular subject well after his death. This program examines paintings, photographs, sculptures and material culture relating to Lincoln and considers their historical context.

Art Historian Jeff Mishur presents this slide lecture. Mishur is an owner of Art Excursions, a company that provides private guiding, lectures/classes, and boutique art and culture tours in the United States.
